When you find the C: drive is full while the D: drive is still empty on your PC, what will you
do if you want to free space on C: drive? I am just a home computer user rather
than a computer technician, so the first thought on my mind is to move files
from C: drive to D: drive. However, it is not as easy as what I think. While
trying to move files, I nearly delete some important data due to mistake. When
files have been moved to D: drive, I found some programs are unable to be run
while the system says that the location of the program doesn’t exist. So I need
to move files back to C: drive again, which waste me a lot of time.

Safely Resize and Move Disk Partition on Windows Server 2003
You may know extending a disk partition is
based on free space on a disk, so you need to shrink a partition to produce an unallocated
volume before you can extend a disk partition. For example, if you want to
extend C: drive because it is running out of disk space, meanwhile the F: drive
still has lots of free space, you can shrink F: drive to produce an unallocated
volume and then add it to C: drive.

worked as a system partition to install and save system programs and data. The
rest disk partitions are used to store data. On your Server 2003, you may find
such a problem: the C drive is too small, while the other disk partitions are
too large. In this situation, you may find that the C drive is full which
